You’ll NEVER Guess Why Lady Godiva REALLY Road Naked Through The Streets….

 

I had no idea that Lady Godiva’s naked ride through the streets was a protest….

 

Apparently, she was protesting against her husband and ruler’s taxation on the already very poor citizens of the city.

In the legendary story lady Godiva so pitied the people of the village of Coventry, who were being oppressed by her husbands cruel taxation, that she asked if he would reduce the taxes if she stripped naked and paraded through the streets.
