Legendary Movie Producer Harvey Weinstein
Has Been Sexually Harassing Women For Decades
Harvey Weinstein, superstar movie producer, who’s credits include Gangs of New York and Shakespeare in Love has apparently been sexually harassing women for decades,
Who da thought?
Weinstein has reportedly paid out at least eight settlements to women who accused him of sexual harassment and unwanted physical contact.
This story was first broke by the New York Times.
Weinstein has announced he will sue the Times. His lawyer, Charles Harder, told the Hollywood Reporter, that the story “saturated with false and defamatory statements.
Although, The Times says this in response:
“We are confident in the accuracy of our reporting. Mr. Weinstein was aware and able to respond to specific allegations in our story before publication. In fact, we published his response in full.”
Two decades ago, the Hollywood producer invited actress Ashley Judd to a hotel for what the young actress thought was to be a business breakfast meeting.
Instead, he had her sent up to his room, where he opened the door in a bathrobe and asked if he could give her a massage or she could watch him shower, she said in an interview.
Ms. Judd said she remembers thinking:
“How do I get out of the room as fast as possible without alienating Harvey Weinstein?”
